To whom it may concern...

This is the first prototype for Riptide Manor, originally designed as a minimalist realtime/turn-based hybrid roguelike with mixed 2D/3D art, made in Unity.

The game was for a time being remade and expanded, with added deck building mechanics and a more conventional turn-based structure, this time made in Godot engine. That version turned out to be an overscoping nightmare, and I later restarted again, returning to the mechanics from this original version and iterating on them in an updated form with more space to grow.
That version will be uploaded soon, with plans in progress to rebuild the game again, removing some more unneeded complexity in favour of focusing on the core gameplay and restricting myself to a more manageable scope.

In addition, some aspects of its design were incorporated into a more recent game jam entry: Silent Elysium.

Made with Unity 2019.4

Not sure if you want feedback or not but i cleared a few floors (and chose a different character)

i love the graphics here i could really get into this. Its oddly relaxing. and everything works nicely.

It was immediately minimal, but really distinctive. which felt really pleasing to experience. Ill be back to play more. The nice presentation attracted me to play originally.

Chill turn based isometric games are probably my favourite style of game.

did it take long to make?

Thanks for the feedback!
I tend to focus most of my attention on making the core parts of my games feel good to play with on their own, so I'm glad that comes through in this.

I'm afraid I can't remember exactly how long I was working on this for, but I would estimate it was somewhere between 8 and 10 months.
